Investment & Technical Quantitative Specialist

Location: Sydney
This well regarded international group seeks an experienced investment professional to join their Australian operation. Working closely with the International Investment team, although this is not an “active” investments role, it does require an individual with a broad range of skills as this role acts as a key interface across the business. You may also be required to present to clients depending on your experience.
To be successful, you will have a demonstrated background as someone who has ideally managed money within an investment related role or is an individual that has worked closely with the investment team with strong quant skills and the ability to present confidently. You may be a senior portfolio or quant analyst or similar seeking your next step or be utilising the skills mentioned in your current position. Within this role, you will be using quantitative models and have well developed skills relating to derivatives. Additionally, you will have the skill and understanding in working with complex mathematical & stochastic modelling and possess excellent computer/database skills. Ideally, you would have worked with Individually managed accounts however this is not essential.
To be considered, you will be either CFA or actuarial qualified and have a Bachelor/Master of Economics or Finance.

- A strong stakeholder manager, you will be responsible for the following:
- Implementation and ongoing management of quant models central to business products. Stochastic modelling with monte carlo simulation essential
- Daily management, monitoring and reporting of investment performance and all investment related issues
- Implement improved procedures & documented governance processes
- Working closely with investment team in managing the portfolio in accordance with agreed strategy
- Act as the APRA interface for all investment and risk related issues
- Being the central point for investment performance relating to client portfolios
- product pricing responsibility (previous experience not essential)
To be considered, you will be either CFA or actuarial qualified and have a Bachelor/Master of Economics or Finance.
