Executive Search Process
At Edwards Executive Consulting, we employ executive search techniques as a best practice in the recruitment of senior, high-level executives and those with specialist skills. By identifying individuals who are not necessarily seeking a change of employer, we significantly broaden our range of potential candidates.
All our assignments follow a well-structured search process, with most being completed in 4-6 weeks.
Client briefing – we start by getting a detailed understanding of the role, the skills required, as well as the dynamics and culture of the team or department.
Market search – we are transparent about our research and what companies we will target and those deemed “out-of-bounds” due to our client relationships. We also compliment our market search with advertising to attract additional candidates who may be actively or passively job hunting.
Short list – all short-listed candidates are carefully screened and assessed in the key competency areas prior to being presented for review. A detailed assessment report is prepared for each short-listed candidate.
Progress reports – at the end of each week we provide a detailed written progress report to our clients in addition to a level of verbal communication that is agreed to up front.
Reference checks – as the negotiation stage approaches, we conduct detailed reference checks on preferred candidates.
Negotiations & selection – we manage the negotiations for you so you can get on with business. Once you have selected a candidate, we put the offer package together and follow up with the unsuccessful candidates.
Post hire – we follow up on all new hires for a quality assessment and feedback on the process.
